You’ll love our looks!
Whether you’re already in love or falling fast, there are a lot of factors at play... all of your senses are on high alert, you want everything to look and feel nice so when it is time to cosy up to that special person you can just relax.
Well, if you need an excuse to do just that, you’ve got it: Valentine’s is the best excuse to indulge your senses. Good job you’ve got Harry Corry to come to your rescue with everything you need to create moods that make for magic moments! He’s the knight in shining armour when it comes to home interiors....
Check out Harry’s tips to set the mood for a lot less – you’ll love them!
Love at First Sight? It’s all about the light!
First impressions count and of course we all look better in the right light. Some strategically placed lamps will give out some soft light that accents your soft furnishings. Harry’s Harlow Antique effect brass lamp
oozes old school glamour and will blend into any colour scheme – an easy way to add warmth to any room but most effective would be to display a pair at each side of your bed.
Light & warmth you’ll love!
Candles give off a gentle glow and are the ultimate in setting the mood for romance. The more the merrier for effect, but remember to be careful and use candles safely. Harry recommends scented candles to ignite another of the senses: smell. You’ll find a delightful range in store, from light summer scents to musky fragrances to complement and enhance your romantic mood. Some strategically placed mirrors will reflect the soft light and make for an even more dramatic effect. You could also set the scene with any of these delightful scents
which can be used in every room.
Now we’re getting up close and personal! Perhaps the most intimate of all the senses, set the scene by layering a variety of soft fabrics that are a delight to your fingertips. Start in the littlest room by making sure your towels are soft and fluffy, perfect for awakening the senses. Use plush, alluring and dark colours to emanate warmth and that invite you in. Scatter cushions EVERYWHERE! Well, you can never have too many and whether they’re liberally strewn around your living room or in a big messy pile on the bed, you’ll just want to gather them around you and relax.
And then, of course, there’s the bedding... it’s much more than just an inexpensive way to change the look of a room. Think silks and satins for sensuality, or go for faux fur, velvet or velour. We’re loving this Tilly duvet set
for simple country romance (now on sale), the Carrie Aubergine & Heather duvet cover set
to add mystery and depth to a room, or the Savoy Bed in a Bag
, with its chocolate and mink colour scheme, is warmly inviting.
