Bedding Buying Guide
At Harry Corry’s we have an extensive range of bedding ranges to offer all our customers from great value to luxurious duvet sets. When choosing bed linen it is important to think about:
- Your colour scheme
- Type of fabric – Polyester or Cotton
- Size of Duvet Cover which is needed
- Do you want your bedding to be the vocal point of your room?
- Do you want just the duvet set or would a ‘Bed in a Bag’ be more suitable?
- Would you rather have Percale or Essential Sheets?
Types of Bedding
- Duvet Sets – All our Duvet Sets are made of Cotton or Polyester or a combination and include a Duvet Cover and 1 Pillowcase in a Single Bed or 2 Pillowcases in Double, King and Super King size.
- Bed in a Bag – Includes Duvet Cover, 1 Pillowcase in a Single Bed or a Duvet Cover and 2 Pillowcases in Double, King and Super King size, Runner and 1 Cushion Cover. These are great value as it ensures all the accessories match the Duvet Set. A Runner is a narrow throw that covers the length of the bed but is only used for decorative purposes.
- Flat Sheet – Flat Sheets are rectangular sheets which were traditionally very popular. It is placed over the mattress and the sides and corners are tucked in. It can also be used for extra warmth and placed between your body and the Duvet. Flat Sheets are only available in our Percale Range.
- Fitted Sheet – Fitted Sheets have the same characteristics of a Flat sheet except it has elasticated corners which fit around the mattress to help hold it in place. It is important to get the right size of sheet to ensure that it stays in place
- Extra Deep Fitted Sheets- have the same characteristics of a Flat sheet except it has elasticated corners which fit around the mattress to help hold it in place. It is important to get the right size of sheet to ensure that it stays in place. Extra Deep Fitted Sheets which allow for a drop of 15” which is 3” more than our normal Fitted Sheets.
- Base Valance Sheets - These are for Divan beds and are used along with a fitted sheet to cover the base of the bed. They can come with a pleated cornered edge or pleated all the way around.
- Fitted Valance Sheets - These are very practical for Divan Beds as instead of buying both a base valance sheet and a fitted sheet, it comes in one. It also saves lifting the mattress off everytime you want to change your Base Valance Sheet
Our Ranges of Sheets
- Percale – this is a close woven fabric made of a mix of 50% Polyester and 50% Cotton. It is hardwearing and feels soft which makes it very popular in Harry Corry’s.
- Essential – our essential range is a great value selection of Sheets, Valences and Pillowcases. They are perfect for customers who want to get good quality products but are on a budget. These are perfect for children’s rooms or even the spare bedroom.
