Types of ready-made pencil pleat curtains available
There are a million and one ways to have pencil pleats in your curtains. The most common, and those you'll find in our range, typically include:
Lined Pencil Pleat Curtain – where the head/top of the curtain is more tightly knitted to create more lines, i.e. it looks like a row pencil
Blackout Pencil Pleat Curtains – where there is a lining on the back or inside of the curtain to block out natural light
Thermal Pencil Pleat Curtains – where the curtain has a thicker middle layer to regulate heat better.
If you already own pleat curtains, but they don't block light or insulate as much as your want, check out our range of ready-made curtain linings.
Ready-made pleat curtains in colours for every home
Available in a variety of colours, blues, blacks and greys can add depth to your décor whilst natural, bright and light curtains can open up your space. R

What do I need to measure when buying pencil pleat curtains?
You'll need your width and desired length to measure pleat curtains correctly.
For the width, you just need to measure the length of the pole (or the distance of where a curtain pole will go) without including the finials (those are the decorative trim on the end). Our pencil pleat curtains will range in width from 117-229mm, although this will depend on the product. If you don't have a pole yet, a reasonable estimate is to measure the window's width and add 150-200mm on either side.
For the length, drop, don't measure from the pole! Instead, you want to measure from where the eyelet hook or tracker will be. From there, it is up to you how far down you want your curtains to go. It could be the bottom of the windowsill, just above the radiator, or near your skirting. Most rooms with pleated curtains tend to be longer, and our range cover drops from 137-229mm.
And remember, because these are ready-made curtains, you shouldn't need to make any adjustments.
